This weekend we are returning to Streets of Willow. Earlier in the season we started off at this track, but were going counter-clockwise. For Sunday, August 14th, the direction will be CLOCKWISE. As many of us have heard in the driver’s meeting, “make sure you studied the right videos!” Once again it is going to be unreasonably hot so prepare for that with shade, water, and more shade and more water. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Round 6 Streets of Willow (CW) this Saturday!
Registration – Arrive between 6:30-7:00am
Be there there early and we will have our own registration line. Before coming to register, you must have a Driver Waiver and general tech form filled out. We will have Roadster Cup tech forms available, but I recommend printing one (download and print here) ahead of time and bringing it with you. So you will have a grand total of 3 forms. Every participant MUST have a Roadster Cup tech form turned into timing. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Timing is free and included in your track day. Timing will only have one line for all drivers (so it could be a long wait!). I recommend heading straight to the timing line after registration. You will turn in your Roadster Cup Tech form to Timing. Before going to timing, make sure you have your tech form filled out with the appropriate class so Bryan (our timing guy) can input your information. You must trade an ID or Credit Card as collateral to receive timing. Even if you rent a helmet and leave your ID for that, you still have to leave a second form of ID or a Credit Card with timing. Your ID will be returned to you once you’ve returned your transponder. If two people are sharing a car, each driver must have their own transponder and run only one transponder on the car at a time in correspondence with the driver. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
Drivers’ Meeting – We will have our own drivers’ meeting at 7:30am
The Roadster Cup run group will have a separate drivers’ meeting at the same time as the general drivers’ meeting. We will go over gridding, flags, passing, and Roadster Cup procedures.
Roadster Cup Private Groups
We will have two private gridded run groups, so all Roadster Cup drivers will be able to drive in a Miata-only group. We will try to grid the first session based on previous lap times. Times will only count from one run group if you are running in multiple groups, and you must tell me at the beginning of the day. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
The Roadster Cup group will grid when they announce the session before. We will try to make as many announcements as possible to make sure that you do not miss the call to grid. Any additional time used to grid will cut into your driving time. BE ON TIME TO GRID! Failure to be on time to grid may result in losing your grid spot, and you will be sent out at the back of the group.
Each driver has until their 4th session to set their fastest time.
If you still haven’t received your Roadster Cup Season sticker we’ve got you covered.
Awards will be immediately following the last Blue session.
We will take a group photo after the awards.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to email Touda at firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you guys Sunday!
